Embedded System design
We are developing both hardware and software products and solutions based on embedded system technology. Besides RTLS and sound effect technologies, we also have the implementation capability as shown in LPMA-1000.
In the digital circuit design side, which is essential to embedded system development, we are developing hardware and software using SoC based on ARM core. For LPMA-1000, we used S3C6410, an SoC integrating 32-bit ARM1176 microprocessor core, and many peripherals including audio controller, USB interface, LAN controller, SD card slots for future expandability.
We also have skills for analog circuit design and power supply handling for various sensors and audio signal processing and we have experiences to develop RF related components for wireless communication such as ZigBee.
For FPGA, we have in-house capability of designing circuit boards and RTL logic. The sound effect is mainly performed on FPGA in LPMA-1000. FPGA is very effective to support features requiring real-time responsiveness. Its function is determined at boot time by the downloaded image which describes the hardware logic and we implemented fast configuration where the image is stored in the file system on normal NAND flash memory. It’s very fast and effective both in system maintenance and development process. We can build optimized solutions and provide direct and practical consulting and technical support based on the above in-house capabilities.
